Bet you didn’t think that was part of an Ayurvedic regime but I strongly believe in the enjoyment of some of the more “treat” foods in moderation is a good thing. Much more nutritious than milo. Kids love it too just before bed.
Here is a Ayurvedic recipe with chocolate (cacao) for your enjoyment:
Ingredients
- 2 cups organic whole milk or milk alternative
- 2 Tbsp Maple Syrup
- ¼ cup cacao powder
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- ¼ tsp of ground ginger
- Pinch of ground cardamom
Directions:
- In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over low heat.
- Whisk in maple syrup and cacao powder until well blended and heated.
- Remove from heat, whisk in spices.
