Sunday 26/05/19 – At Saffron Cottage
Winter is the kapha season and has qualities that are cold, heavy, wet and windy that can lead us to have a low mood and make us susceptible to colds and flu. Winter is a time for rejuvenation. It is the season to strengthen our immune system, preserve our energy and stay cosy and warm. We can naturally boost our energy and nurture our body and mind through Ayurvedic rituals, foods, herbs and yoga/meditation.
10:30-12:30 Join Robyn Mourie, Ayurvedic Lifestyle Practitioner, to talk about immunity – learn about the thousands of years time-tested, traditional Ayurvedic immunity boosters. We will share favourite Ayurvedic remedies and practices that we use personally. Take home notes and samplers.
12:30-1pm Ayurvedic lunch (GF,DF,V). Ayurvedic teas.
1-3pm Nidra with Wendy Reynolds, Nidra/Meditation Yoga Instructor will begin with some self-acupressure to stimulate our protective Qi (or chi) as an additional immunity boost, and then settle in to hibernation mode as you absorb the goodness of the day with a guided Nidra meditation.
$85 pp Includes lunch
