Robyn’s Rose & Cardamom Biscuits


185 g butter
1/2 cup sugar of your choice
1 egg
1 tbsp rosewater
1 tbsp cardamom powder
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tbs coconut sugar for dusting


  1. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add egg and rose water, beat well.
  3. Add dry ingredients, mix well.
  4. Roll teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls.
  5. Put on lightly greased oven tray.
  6. Gently press down with fork.
  7. Bake at 180C for 10-15 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven, cool.
  9. Sprinkle with coconut sugar to serve
